Folkens began his career at Rockwell International as a software engineer before transitioning through key application engineering roles in major distributors and eventually moving to Motorola Semiconductor, to spend six years in market development. From Motorola, Folkens moved to Sanmina-SCI Modular Solutions as a regional manager and then to Sigma Tel, Inc.


Peter Fenn, MCU technology marketing manager, Avnet Electronics Marketing
In his capacity as MCU technology marketing manager, Peter Fenn develops training materials, reference designs and application notes in support of Avnet’s global design chain initiatives. He also provides global MCU and wireless solutions support to Avnet’s team of field application engineers (FAEs).


Mark Benson, CTO, Exosite
As CTO, Mark Benson sets the technical strategy and vision for Exosite to ensure it remains competitive in the M2M marketplace. Mark frequently speaks at and writes for industry events and maintains Exosite’s intellectual property portfolio. Prior to joining Exosite, Mark developed deep experience leading cross-functional teams in the development of high-tech and portable embedded product designs for medical, industrial, and military applications. Mark holds an MS in Software Engineering from the University of Minnesota, and a BS in Computer Science from Bethel University.
