Gerry Simmons, Field Applications Engineer, Arrow Electronics
Gerry has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Washington in Seattle, WA, and spent 15 years in design before moving into a Field Applications Engineering role. Gerry has spent the last 15 years in both Sales Engineering and Field Applications Engineer supporting customers in the Pacific Northwest.
David J. Schmidt, Senior Field Application Engineer, Arrow Electronics, Inc.
David Schmidt is a Senior Field Application Engineer for Arrow Electronics in the Chicago, IL area. He has worked for Arrow in this capacity since 2000. David has been the TI primary support person for most of that time. Prior to signing on with Arrow, David worked for 20 plus years as a hardware and software design engineer. Fourteen of those years focused on industrial and machine controls.
David received a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering Technology from DeVry Institute of Technology.
Martín V. Burgos, WW Distribution Marketing Manager, ARM MPU, DSP and Multicore Processors, Texas Instruments Incorporated
Martín Burgos manages the promotion and adoption of TI’s processors through our distribution partners worldwide. The products he’s responsible for include TI’s Sitara™ ARM® microprocessors as well as C6000™ and C5000™ digital signal processors.
In previous roles at TI, Burgos has served as business development manager as well as product marketing manager for TI’s DSP Systems businesses. He’s got over 10 years of experience with TI processors during which he has worked with partners and customers across the globe.
Burgos received a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Arizona.
