Joao Risques
Joao Risques, is the Product Marketing Manager for the DesignWare Audio and Video IP solutions at Synopsys. He has worked in the semiconductor industry for more than 12 years as an analog IP manager. Prior to joining Synopsys, Joao held numerous management positions at Chipidea Microelectronica inlcuding being reponsible for design of Audio cores and complete Analog Front-Ends for mobile multimedia applications, the Operations Manager for the IP Libraries and Tools Business Unit and the Product Line Manager for Audio and Power Management products where he was responsible for product definition, engineering management, P&L ,pre/post-sales business and technical engagment with customers.

Joao holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from the Lisbon Technical University and has authored several technical papers and presented in technical conferences on analog and mixed-signal design. He holds U.S. and European patents for Audio and Mixed-Signal System-Level architectures.
