In this joint Wind River-Xilinx Webinar, we give you an overview of various embedded software platforms available for developing systems with Virtex-5 FXT FPGAs, including a full fledged Embedded OS like Linux and real time OSes like VxWorks. We'll take a look at their ease of use and secure real-time responsiveness. Navanee Sundaramoorthy, Embedded Solutions Manager, Xilinx, Inc.
Navanee has been at Xilinx since 2001 in various roles designing and evangelizing Xilinx embedded solutions. As an Engineer and later an Engineering Manager, he took part in the teamwork that delivered innovative award-wining embedded solutions for Xilinx. Navanee has M.S in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Brigham Young University, Utah and B.S in Computer Science & Engineering from Anna University, India.


Felix Baum, Global Alliance Technical Manager, WindRiver
Felix Baum is a Technical Alliance Manager with Wind River, the leader in Device Software Optimization. Felix manages the technical needs of strategic alliance partners on a global basis to address the challenges faced in integrating and promoting joint solutions for mutual customers. Previously, Felix worked as a Field Applications Engineer in the greater Los Angeles area consulting with customers across all market sectors with a concentration in the Aerospace & Defense, Medical and Networking industries.

Felix has been instrumental in the integration and validation of the Xilinx Virtex-5 FXT with the Wind River product portfolio

Prior to joining Wind River, Felix worked at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory at the California Institute of Technology designing flight software for various spacecraft and managing a Launch Campaign for the GRACE Mission.

Felix holds a Masters Degree in Computer Science from Cal State Northridge, and an MBA from UCLA . Felix joined Wind River in December of 2000.
