MEMS IMUs often serve as feedback sensing elements, within the Guidance Navigation Control (GNC) systems for Autonomous Ground Vehicles (AGV).

This session will provide a functional overview of the IMU’s role in these systems, with specific emphasis on crucial performance metrics and key functions, which are often overlooked and under-emphasized, during conceptual and architectural development phases for emerging AGV systems.

Attendees will learn about:

  • Defining “corner cases,” which could to drive requirements for IMU function
  • Quantifying system-level impact of IMU behaviors, under complex/dynamic condition
  • Making smart architecture choices, early on
