Her team focuses on enabling the Internet of Things for the creation of connecting devices and data to the services to produce Intelligent Buildings, generating efficiencies and more control in buildings globally.

Rick Tyo, Technical Solutions Architect, Arrow

Rick Tyo, based in Phoneix, Arizona, is a Technical Solutions Architect on Arrow’s IoT Engineering Team, and has over 30 years of engineering experience. Rick joined Arrow at the beginning of 2017 after retiring from Intel as an IoT Solutions Architect in 2016. During his nearly two decades at Intel, he worked globally in the Technology Manufacturing Group (TMG) integrating and implementing factory automation systems worldwide both as a Principal Architect and Systems Integrator; was chair of Intel’s Factory Information & Control Systems Research Committee; served as Worldwide Solutions Architect with primary responsibility for Asia Pacific; and most-recently was lead IoT Solutions Architect for Smart Manufacturing in the Industrial and Energy Solutions Division (IESD) of the IoT Group (IoTG). Rick has served as CTO of an international software company, owned and ran an international engineering company, and served for 11-years as an engineer at NASA, working primarily as Glenn Research Center’s lead engineer for Space Station data, command, and control systems. Rick holds a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering & Engineering Management, a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and is a Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.).
