This session will cover brushed motor applications, reviewing the characteristics, benefits and limitations of brushed motor solutions. We will cover the aspects that control the speed and torque of the motor along with the motor states such as idle, stall and maximum power. Also covered will be some of the control strategies such as; linear, PWM and freewheeling. Finally we will review Infineon Technologies’ brushed motor power stage solutions utilizing fully integrated motor drive products. The attendee will learn the benefits associated with integrated solutions.

Attendees will learn:

  • Characteristics of motor control
  • Techniques used to increase functionality
  • Integrated solutions from Infineon and the associated benefits

Who should attend:

  • Design engineers, system engineers, application engineers working with DC brush motors and motor circuits.
