USB Type-C is a new Connector Standard billed as the ‘Last Connector’, that will allow multi-function signaling (e.g. USB, Display Port, etc.) to pass over a small form factor, compact, high reliability connector. NXP’s offers a broad portfolio of solutions for this emerging market, including USB-Power Delivery, cross-bar Switches, Microcontrollers, Authentication, AC/DC adapter components, Load Switches and ESD/EMI solutions. Ravi is currently an Applications Engineer and Regional Marketing team member at NXP Semiconductors. In this role, he is responsible for supporting the customer and marketing activities for NXP’s Interface and Power Products portfolio. His interest areas are mobile, computing, networking, storage and consumer products. Prior to NXP, Ravi was at Cypress Semiconductors where he worked on high speed serial interfaces, broadcast video solutions and Powerline communication. Ravi holds a MSEE from University of Southern California.
