Dirk Reimer, NXP Semiconductors, Business Development & Marketing Director
Dirk Reimer is Director Business Development & Marketing Telematics for the Business Unit Automotive at NXP, the newly independent semiconductors company founded by Philips. Dirk is responsible for managing NXP’s Telematics activity for the global automotive industry, developing new business opportunities and defining NXP’s go to market strategy for Telematics. He joined NXP in February 2007.
In various functions with Philips, TPO and NXP, Dirk has gained a deep insight into the microelectronics industry, focusing especially on the automotive and mobile sector. He began his career with Philips Components in 1996, as Sales Engineer. With Philips Components he worked amongst others as project & global account manager for customized LCD displays, Director Marketing & Sales for mobile systems chips at Philips Semiconductors. Before joining NXP, Dirk was managing Director for EU Marketing, Sales & customer support within TPO Displays. Dirk holds a university PHD degree in physics from University of Hamburg.
