DDR Memory - Technology Trends and Power Solutions
This webinar, presented by subject matter experts from Texas Instruments (TI), Micron and Avnet, will highlight the most important factors to consider when powering an application that features DDR memory. Selecting the right devices to create an optimal DDR memory power solution will be covered in depth. Basic design considerations such as memory type, solution size, total system efficiency, temperature range and how to use a DDR power calculator will all be explored. Additional design considerations for FPGAs, clocks and timers, connectors plus DDR interface products and DDR switches will be covered as well. The event will close with a review of available development tools, technical documentation, reference designs and third-party programs.
- Products and technology trends
- Design considerations: bandwidth, power, density, latency, speed, etc.
- Product options
- DDR4 – advantages of migrating from DDR3
- System power calculators
