LTE brings significant new capability to wireless communications. From a testing standpoint this means more complex conformance testing. Now, closed-loop tests are required, where the test equipment must make dynamic adjustments in response to HARQ and timing adjustment feedback from the eNB.

This webcast will review the various receiver conformance tests required per the 3GPP standard with a focus on the test requirements and the challenges associated with implementing these important tests.

Randy Becker, Agilent Technologies
Randy Becker obtained his BSE with a major in electrical engineering from Walla Walla College in 1997 and an MSEE from the University in Nebraska in 1999. He then joined Hewlett-Packard/Agilent Technologies, where he has worked for 10 years in a variety of technical marketing roles focused on spectrum analysis and signal generation technologies. He’s one of Agilent’s resident experts in the field, responsible for both internal and external application training and support. He is currently a senior application engineer supporting various cellular technologies with a focus on W-CDMA and LTE.
