Overview:
A growing trend by solid-state lighting designers is to use of 3-in-1 Red, Green and Blue (RGB) Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) for lighting applications because of the superior thermal and reliability performance, color gamut, and energy efficiency provided when compared to other available lighting devices. This webinar will illustrate how the use of 3-in-1 RGB LED packages can be an excellent option for designers developing high-brightness lighting applications.

    Siang Ling Oon, R&D Expert Engineer, Optoelectronic Products Division, Avago Technologies

    Siang Ling Oon is an R&D expert engineer for high power LED products within Avago Technologies' Optoelectronic Products Division. Oon who joined Avago in 2006, has worked as a thermal and finite element analysis (FEA) engineer, and is the project lead for high power LEDs for solid-state lighting markets. Prior to joining Avago, he worked for Robert Bosch as a mechanical design engineer.

    Oon holds an MSc in Manufacturing System Engineering from Queen's University of Belfast, UK, and a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical and Manufacturing System Engineering from Sheffield Hallam University, UK.
