Transiently evoked otoacoustic emission (TEOAE) &#8212 sounds produced by the normal human ear &#8212 have recently piqued the interest of researchers and doctors, as they may serve as indicators of the health and functioning of the cochlea. This paper explains the measuring and analysis of these sounds.
