Offload Code to the Intel Xeon Phi Coprocessor
This paper describes the concept of “Offload” which refers to writing a program from the point of view of running code on processor(s) and offloading work from the processor to one or more Intel Xeon Phi coprocessors. Execution begins on the host processor and, based on user-defined code, some sections are offloaded to the coprocessor, if present, or run on the host processor if not. Examples for a variety of languages are provided.
