USB is the de facto standard for interconnectivity between PCs and external devices, and USB support for peripheral devices has been a part of embedded software since the beginning. Many embedded systems also host their own USB peripherals. Now, more and more embedded systems act as both host and function with USB On-the-Go (OTG) technology. The Nucleus USB product family includes USB Host, Function and OTG protocol stacks, hardware controller drivers and a long list of application-specific class drivers, integrated with the Nucleus Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) to immediately provide USB connectivity and a direct path to USB certification.
