Making Power Supply Control Loop Response Measurements
The primary measurement tool used to test and characterize power supplies is an oscilloscope, and many of today’s scopes offer special power measurement options that can help automate the most important measurements. Frequency response measurements including Control Loop Response (Bode) and Power Supply Rejection Ratio (PSRR) are typically performed using low-frequency network analyzers. However, you can now make these measurements faster with the new capabilities available in the market, such as integrated function/arbitrary waveform in an oscilloscope.
