Introduction to Modeling with Petri Nets
This paper describes the application of the modeling concept of Petri Nets to the modeling of temporal behavior of systems with varying discrete states. This modeling approach is generally suitable for sequential and object-obtained processes; however, it can also be used for time-continuous processes. The method may be of particular interest to software engineers and industrial engineers.
