In this document we attempt to analyze the actual achievable throughput employing IEEE 802.11 Task Group e (TGe) medium access control (MAC), known as hybrid coordination function (HCF). We have analyzed HCF in a practical real-world scenario that requires Quality of Service (QoS), in other words, a combination of high-definition television (HDTV), standard-definition television (SDTV), and computer traffic.
