High Side Current Sensing in Automotive Solenoid Control Applications
Solenoids used in automotive applications require varying degrees of control complexity. For example, solenoids that require minimum control include the Starter solenoid and door lock solenoids. These solenoids are controlled by applying power in a simple on/off manner. More complex circuitry is required when the application needs proportional control.
