Harmonic Estimation Using Amplitude Shaping Pulses
This paper proposes the use of amplitude shaping pulses as windows for harmonic analysis. The harmonic estimation performance of standard and generalized raised-cosine filters, widely used in digital transmission systems, is compared with that of the Hanning window with the same bandwidth. In particular, the ideal flat-top mainlobe of the raised-cosine filters avoids the amplitude compensation required by the Hanning window in the asynchronous sampling case.
