Couplets and Elementary Filters: Part II
In Part 1 we presented a simple yet powerful approach to design practical filters which requires just the knowledge of the z-transform. Here in Part II, we will see how the three elementary filters (simple couplet—which is a binomial in z—its inverse, and the ratio of two couplets) can be used to generate eight different kinds of practically useful filters.
