This paper focuses on a novel form of signal processing servo-mechanism, the reconstituted numerical FM with feedback (RNFMFB or simply RFB) demodulator. As will be shown the RFB accomplishes the goals of the phase locked loop, frequency and phase synchronization, with the associated advantages of numerical processing. This paper presents the results of recent research regarding the RFB demodulator, which demonstrates the application of the RFB demodulator for carrier frequency and phase synchronization. Results are provided regarding an M-ary Phase Shift Keyed (PSK) carrier synchronization simulation, in terms of observed probability of symbol errors, versus input SNR per bit.
