Boot Mechanisms for Multicore SoCs
In a multi-core SoC, there is always a primary processor which does the boot and rest all are secondary processors waken up by primary processor. This paper discusses the various multi-core architectures implemented in Freescale automotive devices and elaborates on the various implementations of boot mechanisms to wake-up the secondary processors once boot processor is up and running.
