Ultra Wideband (UWB) is a rapidly growing technology that promises to revolutionize high speed wireless and wired communications. UWB has quickly emerged as the leading technology for high data-rate in-home networking in applications such as HDTV and multi-media content streaming.


This paper discusses several test challenges and test techniques of a UWB transceiver, based on Pulse∼LINK’s CWave modulation scheme, with emphasis on RF Loop-Back implementation techniques on the Verigy 93000 system-on-a-chip (SoC) platform.
