This paper discusses a Wavelet processor in real time mode. Solutions are presented to the two principal problems associated with the processor — the generation of the wavelet function waveform and the generation of the time-scale resolution grid. A general procedure for obtaining the wavelet or scaling function waveform from a set of quadrature mirror coefficient filters (QMF’s) is described. The design and construction of a Daubechies 3, Db3, or D6 Wavelet waveform generator is provided as an example.
