Synchronous buck controller billed as the first in an SOT-23

Santa Clara, Calif. – National Semiconductor says its synchronous buck controller, the LM1770, is the industry’s first in an SOT-23 package. It’s designed to replace traditional switching regulators and LDOs in enterprise server and point-of-sale applications with a high-efficiency alternative that takes very little space. Its constant on-time control topology contributes to its space savings; no external compensating components are required.
