Load switches carry low-RDS spec at 1.5 volts

Santa Clara, Calif. – Vishay Siliconix says its five new p-channel load switches are the industry’s first such devices designed to offer low on-resistance&#8212as little as 45 milliohms&#8212at a 1.5-volt gate drive. Thus, they’re suited to ASICs applications, which operate at core supply voltages between 1.5 and 1.65 volts, and are the first such devices with guaranteed turn-on characteristics below 1.8 volts without the need for level-shifting circuitry.
