Audio synchronized LED driver is simple to use

National Semiconductor Corp. has designed a Boomer light emitting diode (LED) driver that provides audio synchronization without real-time software processing. The LM4970 LED driver gives designers the option of choosing I²C compatible pattern control or automatic audio-synchronized pattern generation. If the automatic mode is used, no software or memory storage is needed for pattern control. As a result, memory storage space is freed up for other features.
