The selection of overcurrent protection in industrial and automotive motor control systems is made challenging by the variety of motor types, load conditions, mission profiles, and component ageing concerns. As motor systems become more autonomous and energy efficient, demands for functional safety, advanced diagnostics and energy efficiency will unavoidably increase. Join us for a one-hour discussion on this topic.

Attendees will learn:

  • Various motor control applications with different loading conditions
  • Increasing demand and importance of functional safety and energy efficiency
  • The main challenges in overcurrent protection today
  • Introduction to electronic fuses (eFuses)
  • Inbuilt features in eFuses which contribute towards increasing energy efficiency of the system and making the system more reliable and substantially safer than today
