According to governmental agencies, some 1.24 million people die in traffic accidents every year. Car accidents are the number one cause of death among young people, and the majority of these accidents are due to human error. But imagine a world where that these accidents are a distant memory. Roman Staszewski, System Architect, TI
Roman Staszewski is a system architect in ADAS embedded processor group as well as peer-elected Distinguished Member of Technical Staff at Texas Instruments. He's been at TI for over 20 years and has been involved in many aspects of complex SoC development, including high-performance digital design and validation, analog/RF/digital system integration, as well as software and system architecture. Roman co-created Digital RF Processor (DRP) technology allowing integration of RF transceivers with digital baseband processors into low-cost single-chip Bluetooth and cellular radios. He also developed advanced computer vision-based Natural User Interface (NUI) solutions for OMAP application processors.
Roman's current research interests include power-efficient heterogeneous computing and scalable software frameworks for computer vision on embedded systems.
