The electronic innards were exposed at the recent Embedded Systems Conference in San Jose in a series of presentations by David Carey of Portelligent and Al Steier of Munro and Associates.
Their findings were since cataloged in a series of show reports, teardown features and On Demand seminars. Links to all are shown below. The inverter/converter, the engine control module and the navigation and display system are also included as part of a full Prius teardown feature in the May 14th. Under the Hood supplement, presented by EE Times and TechOnline. The supplement, the second in a series, goes inside today's hottest electronic systems to explore the design and component-selection decisions that went into their construction.
