System Level Tools to Accelerate FPGA Design for Signal Processing
Overview:
FPGAs have become key components for implementing high performance DSP systems, especially for digital communications, video, and imaging applications. Recent system-level design flows have significantly simplified the design of signal processing systems using FPGAs. This presentation describes the design flow, drawing on examples of building blocks for a software defined radio (SDR), including adaptive equalization and carrier recovery. Specific topics include an overview of current generation FPGAs, system level design tools and their abstraction of FPGA features, and design tradeoffs in implementing digital filters, adaptive channel equalizers, and carrier recovery loops in FPGAs.

Who Should Attend:
The webcast is applicable to signal processing engineers and scientists planning on implementing future signal processing systems using programmable logic, and to logic/hardware engineers involved with the implementation of FPGA-based signal processing platforms.
