BLACKfin DSP—Revolutionary 16-Bit DSP Architecture for the Internet Age
Overview:
The Internet Era promises significant improvements in the transmission of voice, video, and data information to the end user. This increased bandwidth and diversity of available information impose new challenges on the design engineering community. Processors must offer significantly higher performance, lower power, and programming ease of use. Analog Devices' new Blackfin DSPs meet these design challenges.

Blackfin DSPs offer a unique level of high performance and low power consumption to meet the most demanding processing requirements of Internet appliances. Coupling 600 MMACs of performance with sophisticated Dynamic Power Management circuitry, Blackfin DSPs tune performance and power consumption to the specific application. Additionally, Blackfin DSPs combine both DSP and microcontroller features into a single instruction set architecture drastically reducing development time.

This webcast will provide a technical overview of the first member of the Blackfin DSP family—the ADSP-21535—that utilizes the ADI/Intel jointly developed Micro Signal Architecture. The ADSP-21535 offers 600 MMACs of performance and integrates 2.5 Mbits of on-chip SRAM in addition to a variety of system and user peripherals. It is particularly well suited for wired and wireless communications and Internet appliance applications due to its high level of integration and low power consumption.

Who Should Attend:
This webcast is targeted to new product development engineers/managers wishing to explore programmable signal and control processing options designed to significantly reduce their product's time-to-market.
