Leveraging an Advanced HMI in a Hardened Environment
Overview:
Creating beautiful, eye-catching content can be created with a tool like Adobe Creative Suite 4 to run in an embedded environment using the Adobe Flash Lite 3 player. Engineers, developers and user interface designers for markets like automotive and industrial automation want to leverage CS4 to create attractive and engaging HMIs, like digital instrument clusters or automation control panels.

But how do you combine the rich features available with real-time behavior to ensure a robust fail-safe system? What sorts of tips can be used to ensure your design is bullet-proof?

Join Andy Gryc and Dave Inglis as they explore how to achieve a hardening of your Adobe HMI, both by best practices for your Flash and ActionScript code, and by judicious application of QNX provided technologies like OpenGL-ES, adaptive partitioning, and high availability toolkit.

Estimated length: 1 hour, including Q & A.

Who should attend: This seminar is best suited for engineers, embedded software developers and user interface designers in automotive industrial automation markets.

Prerequisites: There are no prerequisites for this session.

Presenter:
