Wired Connectivity in Embedded Applications
Overview:
An introduction to the wired-connectivity technologies that NXP Semiconductors recommends for embedded applications, with a look at today's trends and directions for the future. Includes a technical overview of the four key connectivity standards for embedded (USB, Ethernet, CAN, and I2C), with descriptions of the hardware physical interface, the software protocol, and NXP's available products. The webinar also includes an introduction to NXP's LPC23xx microcontroller family, a series of advanced ARM-based devices with integrated options for each of the key connectivity standards. System-level block diagrams, software solutions, development tools, and demo kits are included in the discussion.

Presenter:
PresenterJim Earle has been in applications engineering at NXP Semiconductors formerly Philips Semiconductors for 15 years. The last 5 years Jim has been with the Technical Support Center as a Senior FAE for Multi Market Semiconductors with an emphasis on ARM 32 bit microcontrollers. His job responsibilities include working on customer designs, technical training, internal reference designs, and application notes. His recent activity has been involved with connectivity applications and implementing Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms on the NXP ARM devices.
