HSUPA device design: find issues earlier, resolve issues faster
Overview:

HSUPA adds benefits to mobile device customers by providing faster data rates (uplink and downlink) and the ability to run applications with lower latency (mobile gaming, two way VOIP), and provides a larger area of coverage for reasonable data rates. For operators HSUPA offers more flexible allocation of bandwidth and the ability to sell new services (e.g. YouTube uploads, two way VOIP). This new capability places greater demands on wireless devices that now must be capable of carrying voice along with high speed data, while experiencing handovers, stricter power control, and RF impairments.

This webcast describes the benefits of finding HSUPA design problems earlier in the development process when they are much less costly and time consuming to resolve, and when they do not significantly impact time-to-market for new devices. The Webcast discusses the 8960 Wireless Communications Test Set configured with WCDMA/HSPA Lab Application as a desk top solution that is capable of testing RF parametric performance, signaling, data throughput, and data applications.

Duration: 1 hour

Who should view this webcast:
Targeted at integration and validation engineers tasked with verifying that HSUPA wireless devices work as designed, meet 3GPP standards and Service Provider requirements. This is an iterative process that begins when the core components of a wireless device (RF and baseband chipsets, operating system, protocol stack, applications) are first integrated into what is intended to be a working device.
