Overview:
Over the last 12-18 months there have been a number of significant technical advances that can deliver substantial increases in compute performance from boards and servers. By now, everyone in the high tech world is aware of the paradigm shift from processors ever higher clock-speeds to processors with multiple cores that share the processing load. In this session, you will learn a little more about multi-core processors, as well as co-processors and the tools and techniques required to take advantage of them. We will also cover the internal architecture changes that can add a significant performance boost for specific applications and specialized software that allows the functionality of multiple systems to be combined into one. In combination, these changes result in significantly more performance "inside the box".
In this webinar, we will discuss:
- Multi-core processor advancements and what's required to utilize them such as optimization of application code
- New processor micro-architecture that provides up to100% performance improvement for parallel processing applications
- Co-Processors and their 'scores of cores' - and how these are starting to be used to boost system performance
- How "virtualization" allows for multiple OS's to run concurrently on a single box
Who should attend this webcast:
System Architects, Systems Engineers, HW & SW Engineers, Verification Engineers,
Product Development and Management
