Integrate Early and Often: Drive Better Embedded Application Quality with Continuous Integration and Verification
Overview:
Embedded software development has evolved into a large-scale, globally distributed endeavor, posing significant engineering management challenges. Today's embedded projects can involve huge teams of developers, outsourcers, third party software technology vendors, chipset partners, and open source components. As a result, companies are struggling with the challenge of managing, integrating, and verifying a vast array of components from many different sources.

The build process alone has become daunting due to the increasing complexity of embedded applications. Companies are finding it increasingly difficult to integrate and validate as frequently as they'd like because the process is so complex, time consuming and error prone.

Learn how one innovative company has discovered a more reliable and scalable approach to embedded development. By adopting early developer testing practices and implementing automated software build and verification processes, they are able to detect and correct more defects sooner. Their strategy replaces ad hoc testing and occasional builds with continuous automated software building and verification to achieve on-time delivery of high-quality products. It is not as hard as you may think. Join representatives from Electric Cloud and S2 Technologies as they describe how you can transform your development process.

Presenters:

About Electric Cloud
Electric Cloud is the leading provider of Software Production Management solutions that accelerate, automate and analyze the software development tasks that follow the check-in of new code. These include the software build, package, test and deploy processes. The company's patented and award-winning solutions improve productivity in the face of increasing product complexity and time-to-market pressures for software delivery. Until now, most organizations have used 'homegrown' solutions that can be difficult to manage, brittle and isolated, resulting in process bottlenecks. This is all compounded by increasing adoption of agile development methods, distributed teams, and pressures of compliance mandates. Leading companies such as Qualcomm, Intuit, Motorola and Expedia rely on Electric Cloud's Software Production Management solutions to change software production from a liability to a competitive advantage.
