Moderator:
LEW LAFORNARA is Vice President of Supplier Marketing at TTI. He has more than 28 years experience in the electronic components industry working on both the manufacturing and component distribution sides of the business. While working for Amphenol Aerospace in the military/aerospace market and for FCI/Berg Electronics in the commercial connector market, LaFornara spent the majority of his career managing the distribution channel both domestically and globally. Prior to joining TTI, he was Vice President of Interconnect at Future Electronics and has experience with Avnet's Hamilton/Hallmark Electronics unit. In addition to his work experience he has served on the Board of Directors of NEDA, as well as on the Board of the NEDA Education Foundation.

Presenters:
RON BISHOP founded Bishop & Associates, Inc. in 1985, a market research firm that specializes in the world electronic connector industry. The firm publishes a monthly newsletter entitled "The Bishop Report", and a twice monthly electronic publication entitled connectorsupplier.com A staff of twenty researchers produce reports centered on geographic regions, end-use equipment markets, connector products, and interconnect technologies. The firm also provides executive placement and conducts multi-client studies, customer surveys, and assists in merger & acquisition activity. Ron Bishop has a B.S. Finance from the University of Missouri. The U.S. headquarters is located in St Charles, IL, a western suburb of Chicago. The firm also has offices in Brussels, Belgium, Sidney, Australia, and Hong Kong.

DAVID SCHNEIDER is currently the Global Business Manager for 3M's Interconnect Solutions, a business unit of 3M Electronics based in Austin, Texas. David has 15 years of experience in the telecommunications and optical markets and has held a variety of technical and business roles within 3M. His previous experiences include PCB manufacturing engineering, optical component and optical fiber manufacturing, and business leadership. David's most recent position prior to Interconnect Business Manager was Six Sigma Master Black Belt for 3M's electrical markets. David also has a B.S. in mechanical engineering.

LOU GRICE is the Director of Marketing and Communications for Phoenix Contact USA. Lou started with Phoenix Contact in 1990 as an application engineer in Northern California working a territory that extended from the Silicon Valley north to the Canadian border and east to the Rockies.

During his tenure with Phoenix Contact, Lou has logged hundreds of hours selling and providing training seminars for engineers and designers across industries as diverse as water treatment, energy, silicon wafer manufacturing and amusement park rides. He has instructed on a wide range of technologies including transient voltage surge suppression, remote I/O systems, device level networks, signal conditioning, PLC programming and radio. Lou is an active member of the ISA, IEEE and SPE and has been a featured speaker at ISA, IEE and RMLA trade shows and conferences throughout the Western United States.

In his current role as Director of Marketing and Communications, Lou leads the promotional training, brand label and marketing communications efforts for the USA subsidiary of Phoenix Contact. Lou has a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of California - Berkeley and an M.B.A. from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University - Scotland.

BRIAN KRAUSE has worked in the interconnect world for the past 29 years and has spent the last 26 years with Molex in various marketing and sales positions. In his current position as Vice President of Marketing and Communications, Brian is responsible for Global Marketing and Communications, which includes branding, advertising, public relations, employee communications, and the commercialization and promotion of Molex products globally. Brian also has responsibility for the Molex Web site, strategic marketing, strategic planning, and Molex's internally-developed Demand Creation Process, which allows Molex to identify new growth segments and customers.
