Overview:
In order to meet critical time to market pressures and rapidly changing application requirements, embedded systems have to be built on a flexible processing solution that can be customized to meet application requirements. This applies to both the software and the hardware platform since software makes up a significant portion of the embedded system development time and cost.

In the earlier MicroBlaze™ Quick Start webinar, we presented the advantages of a flexible processing solution and the steps to build a custom embedded system using MicroBlaze. In this joint Avnet-Xilinx webcast, we present the open source uClinux (a Linux variant) solution for MicroBlaze and demonstrate the steps to rapidly build a uClinux kernel image (BSP) for the design using automatic BSP generation tools. Also learn about low cost development kits that will give you hands-on experience with these solutions.

Webinar attendees will learn:
  • Advantages of using highly flexible software and hardware platforms - uClinux and MicroBlaze
  • Simple steps to build custom uClinux kernel and software applications in minutes using automatic BSP generation tools
  • How to gain hands-on experience with these solutions using low cost development kits
Who should attend:
  • Embedded Software developers
  • System architects
  • SoC, Microcontroller users
  • Engineering or Technical managers
