Certification and country type approval guarantee that a phone works but not how well it works. Despite the global recession, mobile phones are still selling in their billions and smart phone sales are actually increasing. As we move towards the 4G/LTE (Long Term Evolution) network generation, and as more focus is placed upon the use of smart phones as laptop/netbook replacements, so the performance capabilities of all aspects of the handset, including voice, become more crucial than ever.
