Today's engine designs are subjected to increasing requirements from vehicle manufacturers and suppliers for higher efficiency, lower fuel consumption and improved driving comfort—while also meeting strict emissions standards. The Synopsys engineers describe the Robust Design Methodology for optimizing performance and reliability. The deployment of this methodology is demonstrated by means of an electrical fuel injection system.
