Heat, in many parts of the world, is supplied to rooms using hot water and radiators. A boiler in a basement or adjoining building heats water and pumps it throughout the building. Radiators in each room use convection and radiation to distribute heat. By changing the flow of water through the radiator, the amount of heat also varies proportionally. This technical brief will show the basic details involved in building an electronic heat meter.
