Altera

The liquid crystal display (LCD) is a common element in today's consumer and automotive electronics. Sharp Electronics has recently developed a two-way viewing angle LCD. However, no standard driver to support two-way viewing products exists. This white paper discusses the innovative architecture developed to support both standard and two-way viewing LCD products, based on Altera's new low-cost, low-power Cyclone III FPGAs with soft-core embedded processors.
