Mathematic Foundations of the Condenser Microphone

The article describes in detail the condenser microphone's equivalent circuit by supplying all the mathematical steps leading to the general solution consisting of two parts: the transitory and steady-state solutions. A significant part of this work was devoted to the mathematical procedure oriented to obtain the expression of the steady-state solution according to E.C. Wente.

The aim of this work is to transform the general rigorous solution from a closed-form into an open one suitable to be utilized in the numerical calculus and to compare the two above mentioned steady-state solutions, slightly different inbetween, due to the different approaches and approximations.
