This paper proposes a low profile circularly polarized microstrip patch antenna for bluetooh applications. The radiating structure consists of a square patch with four angular grooves introduced along the four sides of the patch and four slits inserted along the four diagonal of the patch to reduce the overall dimension. The circular polarization is obtained by truncating the two opposite corners of the square patch. The proposed patch antenna is suitable for implementing a compact, low cost circularly polarized antenna for bluetooth applications, as demonstrated by numerical simulations using Zeland's software IE3D and experimental outcome.
