Making Those Difficult Electronic Control Measurements Webcast
Overview:
Today, transportation vehicles, aerospace/defense, and industrial control products use Electronic Control Units (ECUs) to manage motion via device drivers connected to inductive loads in harsh applications. ECU drivers are sophisticated and create design validation and testing challenges. This presentation will discuss these unique testing challenges, and describes effective methods to address them.

Al Lesko, Applications Specialist, System Products Division, Agilent Technologies

Al joined Agilent Technologies (Hewlett-Packard) in 1980 working in Loveland Colorado as an R&D engineer on various signal source and measurement instrumentation projects as well as doing development work on the popular HP-3070 in-circuit tester test system.

In 1989 joined the Ford Motor Company to work on Anti-lock brake systems as a R&D design engineer, and returned to Hewlett-Packard in 1993 to continue work on test instrumentation and test systems. Al was the key HW system architect on the Agilent TS-5400 Series II automotive functional test system. Al Holds a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan, and a BA in Math & Physics from Albion College, Albion Michigan.

Darlene Carpenter, Product Manager, System Products Division, Agilent Technologies

Darlene joined Agilent Technologies in 2000 working in Loveland Colorado. During her eight years with the company, Darlene has worked in Technical Marketing positions such as Applications Engineering, Technical Support, and Product Marketing for VXI and general purpose instrumentation like multimeters, power supplies, function generators and counters.

Darlene's previous 14 years of Technical Marketing and Applications Engineering experience includes positions at Tektronix, Celestica, and Micro Motion. As a Technical Marketing Engineer, Darlene has worked closely with customers' to program and control electronic instruments and mechanical controls in their test systems.

Darlene holds an AS degree in Electrical Engineering and a BS in Computer Science from Regis University, Denver Colorado.
