Portable Designs With High Power Batteries And Chargers
Overview:
This webcast will provide an update on issues related to the electronic design industry's increasing reliance on the benefits these batteries provide and profile new high-power (or high-pulse) rechargeable lithium batteries for portable applications. Traditional lithium batteries support pulses of 5 Amps, while new high power batteries support pulses over 100 Amps, enabling many new portable applications. Cell configurations, electrical performance, safety and regulatory issues, limitations and sample performance data will also be presented.

In addition, the webcast will host a discussion on the enhancements required for portable devices to accommodate the high current produced by these batteries, as well as provide electrical and mechanical design guidelines for charging these high power batteries.
