DESCRIPTION
All of us measure things everyday. Every real-time embedded product is an instrument, which makes measurements, processes the data, and then reacts to the result. This class introduces attemdees to the need for measurement, the basic principles of measurements, the basic components or subsystems of a measurement instrument (such as sensors, signal conditioning, analog-to-digital conversion, and actuators), and the various architectures that instrumentation might use.

He is the Executive Vice President of the IEEE Instrumentation & Measurement Society, has published widely, and has four patents with several more pending.
