DESCRIPTION
This training module discusses the on-chip Flash memory that many H8S series microcontrollers provide for storing application software and data. In this training module, we will discuss features of the Flash technology that Renesas has developed and explain how the on-chip Flash is implemented and how it operates. Then, we will describe the various ways you can program the Flash and offer helpful hints for designs based on H8S MCUs with on-chip Flash memory, which are also sometimes called "Flash MCUs."

PREREQUISITES
To benefit the most from the material we will present, you should be familiar with microcontrollers in general and understand basic issues related to the design and development of embedded control systems.
